TheDarkMarbles-400x400.jpg

Welcome to the home page of Long Lake, NY's great garage rock and power-pop rock and roll band the "The Dark Marbles!"

This is the official site of "The Dark Marbles", where you can get info on upcoming Dark Marbles gigs, look up information on the band members, and find links to the other pages on the web site ("Photo Gallery" and "Story of the Dark Marbles".)

This is also the page to stay tuned to upcoming gigs and the band's recording schedule; find out about how to get that groovy Dark Marbles stuff and paraphernalia!

You can plaster your whole car with Dark Marbles bumper stickers, and really make your neighbors wonder! Like WOW!

The band has five songs available for listening and downloading on-line! Just go to the site: www.garageband.com/artist/darkmarbles - and check them out!

Some of these songs have received regular airplay on DJ Bill Kelly's fabulous Sunday radio show (3 to 5 PM) "Teenage Wasteland" on WFMU 91.1 (go to www.wfmu.org for their playlists!)

The Dark Marbles have taken the greatest stuff from the nuggets of melodic and upbeat garage/mod/power-pop rock and roll and made it their home turf. Powered by singer and guitarist Yod Crewsy (formerly of the mid-80s garage greats SplatCats and the JackLords), the Dark Marbles would love nothing better than to throw their crowds into a frenzied mass of dancing hysteria! It's the primitive sound of a couple of guitars, one melodic and clean, one loud and snotty, over a basic thumping back beat! So crude and yet so effective! The Dark Marbles are the following swingin' cats (and one chick): Yod Crewsy - singer, songwriter, Rickenbacker 330 and Vox Phantom playin' rhythm guitarist. Eric Peter - a lead guitarist extraordinaire - the man with all the tasty hooks! Upstate NY's finest! Deb Schuster - bass player - she also plays with the all-girl rockabilly outfit "Catspaw" - tight and thumpin' bass stylings! A rockin' wild cat! Tony Stuppiello - powerhouse drummer formerly with NJ's famous rockabilly band: "Speedcrazy" - this dude packs a serious rhythmic wollop! Ouch! ____________________________________
